What is Jefferson Giving Day?
Jefferson Giving Day is a 24-hour celebration of the power of generosity. On April 24, 2025, from midnight to 11:59 p.m. EST, patients, alumni, employees, students, family, and friends will come together to support the Jefferson area that means the most to them. Special challenges and matching opportunities make your gift go even further.
How can I make a gift?
We offer multiple ways to donate, but we strongly encourage you to make your gift online. This is the only way to ensure that your gift will qualify for matches and challenges taking place throughout Giving Day.

How can Jefferson employees make a payroll gift?
By signing up for payroll deduction through Workday, you can choose the amount to have automatically deducted from your paycheck. Please refer to our step-by-step guide to Payroll Deduction for additional assistance. Alternatively, employees can set up a payroll gift in-person on April 24 at a Jefferson Giving Day on-campus event. Jefferson employee gifts made during the Employee Giving Campaign will be included in our Giving Day total!
How can I make my donation go even further?
Thousands of companies match gifts to non-profit organizations, which can double or triple your gift. Please click here to find out if your employer (or your spouse’s employer) has a matching gift program. If your or your spouse’s employer has a matching gift program, please contact your Human Resources representative for a matching gift form.
What if I want to make a pledge?
If you’d like to make a pledge (which can be payable over three years), please call the Office of Institutional Advancement at 1-877-JEFF-GIFT.
Can I give to any area I choose?
You can direct your gift to any area of Jefferson that matters to you!
How can I help spread the word?
Become a Jefferson Giving Day Social Media Ambassador! Post to your social media accounts using our social media toolkit and help us spread the word about Jefferson Giving Day using #JeffersonGivingDay. Your 10 minutes of work could help reach, or even exceed, our donor goal for the 24-hour challenge.

Are gifts tax-deductible?
Yes. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Once you make your gift, you will receive an email confirmation that your gift has been received.
Is there a minimum donation amount?
You can make a gift of $5 or more to participate in Jefferson Giving Day.
Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?
Yes. We will send you an emailed receipt shortly after you complete your gift.
