Jefferson’s Division II Golf Team is turning to you to help us win the Rams Rise Up Challenge again this year!
Last year, the Golf Team rallied xxx donors, helping us win the Challenge and secure additional funding to support the team! This year, your support is critical in helping us win again, and in helping us purchase golf gear and equipment to take our players to the next level!
After isolating for the past several months and doing most of their practicing independently, our Jefferson golfers are excited to put more time into practice with the team and coaches (maintaining safety guidelines of the university and the golf course).
Golf, though mostly an individual sport, teaches our athletes the value of teamwork as well as respect and humility. It requires our students to show courtesy to others and good sportsmanship. They're a great team when they work and practice together, but they also learn self-discipline and patience. It's a mentally challenging sport requiring a high level of concentration and focus, and the exchanging of ideas and problem solving.
With your help we could acquire a golf simulator, screen, net and mat. This would allow us to practice indoors through bad weather and winter months to keep our swings in form throughout the season. It will also assist our players in analyzing their swing speed and helping them determine the best fitting clubs for better performance. Not only would this give us an edge that some teams may not have, but it would also give us the opportunity to warm up before a match.
Your support will allow our golfers to put in more time to make them better players, make us a better team, and develop well-rounded student-athletes. It is this level of dedication and excellence that has allowed us to receive the individual award for Academic Scholar Athlete 8 times in the CACC conference golf Championship over the past 11 years.

Thank you to our 931 donors who have supported our 17 Division II sports teams! We raised $82,121 from alumni, students, parents, and fans. The funds raised will be put to use immediately, fulfilling equipment needs and helping each player train and perform their best.
