What is Jefferson Giving Day?
Jefferson Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising event celebrating the generosity and philanthropic impact of Jefferson’s community members, and kicking off our annual Employee Giving Campaign. Mark your calendars to join faculty, staff, physicians, alumni, students, patients, family, and friends for one day of virtual events, opportunities, and surprises over 24 hours.

Who can participate?
Anyone and everyone who loves Jefferson! Jefferson Giving Day unites faculty, staff, physicians, alumni, students, patients, family, and friends for one day and one purpose—to celebrate the Jefferson community.
When is Jefferson Giving Day?
Jefferson Giving Day is April 7, 2022. Donations made between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. will be counted in the Giving Day totals.
May I donate to any fund I wish?
Yes. You may designate your gift to any Jefferson cause that you are passionate about. Be sure to check all the featured funds for more information about how your gift can make a difference when the campaign launches at Jefferson.edu/GivingDay.
Where can I make my online gift?
Please visit Jefferson.edu/GivingDay to make your gift online on April 7. If you are an employee, your gift between March 1 and April 7 will be counted in Giving Day totals in honor of the annual Employee Giving Campaign.
May I make a donation over the phone?
Of course! Please call the Office of Institutional Advancement at 1-877-JEFF-GIFT to speak to one of our staff members.
May I make a gift by mail?
Because of the short time frame of Giving Day, gifts made online or via phone will count towards the campaign goals.
Can a donor make a pledge online?
If you’d like to make a pledge (can be payable over three years), please call the Office of Institutional Advancement at 1-877-JEFF-GIFT.
Can I give via stock in support of Giving Day?
Yes! If you are interested in giving stock, click here to read more and get directions and make sure to call our office, 1-877-JEFF-GIFT, to let us know to expect your gift.
How can I make my donation go even further?
Thousands of companies match gifts to non-profit organizations, which can double or triple your gift. To find out if your employer (or your spouse’s employer) has a matching gift program, please click here. If so, please contact your Human Resources representative for a matching gift form.
How can I help spread the word?
Become a Jefferson Giving Day social media ambassador! Post to your personal accounts using our social media toolkit and help us spread the word about Jefferson Giving Day using #ImInForJefferson. Your 10 minutes of work could help reach, or even exceed, our donor goal for the 24-hour challenge.
How can I be entered for a "Giveaway"?
You can make a donation and you will be automatically entered, or you can fill out an entry form here. No donation is necessary to enter or win. You can find more details about the "Giveaways" here.
Is it safe to make my gift online?
Yes, our secure online system makes it easy and safe for you to make your gift online.
Are gifts tax-deductible?
Yes. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Once you make your gift, you will receive an email confirmation that your gift has been received.
Is there a minimum donation amount?
Yes, there is a $5 minimum donation during the 24-hour campaign.
