Jane Young Likens Scholarship

Jane Young Likens retired in 2013 after dedicating 20 years of service to the University as an associate professor of fashion design, first-year advisor, and capstone portfolio mentor. Jane enriched the lives of her students and colleagues with her dynamic personality, creativity and love of learning.

Those who knew her consider themselves fortunate to have experienced her unrelenting dedication to her students. Former students continue to cherish their connection to Jane, transitioning from student to colleague and ultimately to friend. As they see it, that’s what is so special about Jane—her ability to maintain relationships and find value in others while sharing her experience and relentless energy.

Established in her name by former students and colleagues, the Jane Young Likens Scholarship supports aspiring young fashion designers in their junior and senior years.
