Dennis Kuronen Scholarship

The Dennis Kuronen Endowed Scholarship is named in loving memory for Professor Dennis Kuronen, founder of the Graphic Design Communication program at Philadelphia University.

Dennis loved teaching—particularly at Philadelphia University—where he was the Interim Dean of the School of Design and Media. Professor Kuronen died on Saturday, February 6, 2010, following a year-long, valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Dennis had hoped to have a scholarship started in his memory to support students in the design field. Thanks to the kind and generous contributions from family and friends, this endowed scholarship ensures Dennis' legacy is remembered at the place he liked to refer to as his second home and family.
