Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Heart and Vascular Service Line consists of over 150 physicians with expertise in patient care, education, and research. Physicians specialize in cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, vascular medicine, and interventional radiology with a focus on the care of patients with heart and vascular disease.

The construction of a new space and purchase of new equipment for a new Hybrid operating room equipped with the latest imaging technology, this OR will support both minimally-invasive procedures and open-heart procedures in a single setting and allow for greater collaboration between interventionists and surgeons.

Educating future physicians and providing early-career investigators with an opportunity to work alongside preeminent clinicians and researchers. Additionally, offering young fellows with research opportunities and the ability to travel to national conferences, etc.

To fund the initial work needed to set up clinical trials for innovative research. This includes the work to create a protocol, submit documentation and perform statistical analysis that will determine the size, budget and timeline needed for a trial to be completed.
