Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center

Who We Are:

The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health – one of only 70 National Cancer Institute-designated centers in the U.S. – is committed to delivering the most advanced, personalized cancer care, made possible by scientific discoveries and breakthroughs in detecting and treating cancer. SKCC provides access to advanced clinical trials and novel treatment strategies for patients close to home, or those traveling afar to SKCC’s programs of excellence.

Why We Need Your Support:

Karen E. Knudsen, PhD serves as the Enterprise Director of SKCC and Executive Vice President of Oncology Services. Your gift to the SKCC Director’s Fund supports Dr. Knudsen’s vision of specifically:

  • Fostering seamless integration of bench-to-bedside research.

  • Recruiting clinical superstars to pursue excellence in patient care and research.

  • Fast-tracking discoveries to the clinic that improve cancer prevention, detection, and cure.
